The URI generic syntax uses URL encoding to deal with this problem, while HTML forms make some additional substitutions rather than applying percent. In HTML forms, the character is used to separate a name from a value. When the redirected request is issued, the space in the 3 3 URL portion is not replaced with the URL encoded form of %20. Some characters cannot be part of a URL (for example, the space) and some other characters have a special meaning in a URL. Note that the + character in the 3+3 portion of the original URL is removed from the redirected URL and replaced with a space character. There is a GET request in my application ( 3+3CGDLUjs%2frA%3d%3d=pobrerD+z1HVclFx4CkitQ%3d%3d ) that gets redirected to another location ( 3 3CGDLUjs/rA=hbWQMZjZTcIG7q/XT9cO5w=). This bug is not reproducible in a Visual Studio 2005 installation without Service Pack 1.
